Our Year 7 VIC historians went on an excursion to Dreamworld’s ‘Corroboree’ this week in preparation for their first assessment piece on Ancient Australian artifacts. Students explored Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island stories and culture before participating in a Corroboree Warrior Tour where they learnt about artifacts such as hunting spears and the didgeridoo. Students were also shown how Ancient Australian’s made fire.

The students not only did a wonderful job in completing their research booklets, but were so well behaved they were allowed an hour on the rides. Ice cream was also consumed. It’s a hard life transitioning from primary to secondary.
