(Photos Below) On Tuesday 1st September Year 3 went to the Queensland Museum and Sciencentre in Brisbane. The reason we went is because we are learning about science and scientific inventions and discoveries. Our favourite level of the museum was the second level with all the preserved animals. We saw and got to touch lots of things. There was an activity area with lots of different rescue activities and there was an exciting science activity area where we got to touch and test lots of scientific things. In the rescue area there was a news station which was really fun where we dressed up and interviewed each other and fire fighters. We got to be involved in activities such as flying a helicopter, crawling through a fire house with smoke, and ride a jet ski race where we could save people in the water. There was also a ball pit which represented water. In the science area there was a cool whirlpool machine and there was oversized chairs and tables showing the view of a 3 year old child. We went to the museum area in the morning before we had lunch and then we visited the Sciencentre in the afternoon. We were lucky enough to have a quick sound demonstration show before we came back to school on the bus. We all had a great day and learnt lots!
