In week 2 the College came together to remember those fallen in Australia’s past war engagements. On Monday the 25th the entire school community assembled to hear readings by our Primary and Secondary College Captains and we paused to solemnly reflect during a minute’s silence. A wreath was laid at the front of the school to pay tribute to the fallen. Later that afternoon Ms Newton and our captains visited Roslyn Lodge to participate in their ANZAC Ceremony and support the our local elderly and infirm residents. Many residents had family and friends who were either war veterans or casualties and it was moving to hear their first-hand and heartfelt stories.
On ANZAC Day 25th of April we participated in the Community March along Main St. Our Secondary Captains & Leaders, as well as both our Primary & Secondary SRC marched with pride. Students and staff then listened attentively to speakers and readings at the ANZAC Ceremony, laying a wreath along with other community representatives.
