(Photos Below) Tuesday and Wednesday saw 10 of our best athletes travel to the Griffith university Athletics Track to compete in South Coast Regional track meet. Over the two days our students competed very well considering the temperature were very warm. Our standout performances came from Sam Elliott who threw a distance of 35.10m in the discus to qualify for the Queensland School Sport State Championships next month at QEII. Tanita deBruyn threw a distance of 28.14m in the 17 Girls Javelin, just falling short of the 30.00m qualifying mark.
Well done to all students and a special thanks to Wendy Schonfisch for her efforts as Team manager over the two days.
