A number of our students across the entire school competed last weekend at the Queensland Athletics All Schools Cross Country Championships. For most students, this was their first real competitive race against some top runners across the South East. A big thank you to the parent for driving our athletes to Kedron to race.
Lisa Miller commented “They both did extremely well considering there was 80 competitors in each of their races. The conditions were very hot and the competition was tough but it was a great experience for them both. “
Michael Cacciola commented “Madison ran well in her first ever competitive race. Jackson was recently sick and did it tough, but he toughed it out ( the runner he ran with, Jacko is a good 90 second-2min quicker over 5km ) and Zachery who was also recently sick wanted to run and did well to compete (he has a quicker 5km time than the time he ran over 4km there!)”
Tamborine Mountain College is very proud of our young athletes and their determination to compete and do their best. We look forward to Districts next week at Runaway Bay
