Good afternoon parents and guardians,
Next Friday, TMC Primary is hosting our Primary Science Day. All students from Prep – Year 6 will be involved in science workshops run by the Science Factory. Please follow this link to the Science Factory’s website. Each workshop goes for 1.5 hours, so the children will have a lot of time to enjoy the activities!

Our inaugural Primary Debating Team is hard at work, practicing for their first debates. Our team members are:
Change of Collection Notice
If you need to let your child know that their method of getting home has changed (i.e. a student who normally gets picked up by car has to catch the bus), the office would appreciate notification before 12.30 pm when possible. This would mean that your child is given notice before lunch, which is important on days like today when some students are off-campus at sporting events. Of course, if you have to change plans late we do understand – please let us know as soon as you can and we will pass on the message.
Our Student Representative Council indicated that this year they would like to support a charity that helps children in hospital. Thinking ‘outside the box’, we have made contact with Radio Lollipop – an international charity that runs mini-radio stations in some of the bigger hospitals around the world. The Gold Coast University Hospital is lucky enough to have a Radio Lollipop station of their very own! On March 14, we are holding a free dress day to help this fantastic charity. Radio Lollipop is staffed by volunteers who run the in-house radio station for the children staying in hospital. Children are able to use the hospital phones to call in requested songs and Radio Lollipop plays over the intercom system, providing some enjoyment and therapy through music. All students coming in free dress are asked to bring a minimum $2 donation with them. On behalf of the students in the SRC – ‘thank you!’
Prep – Year 3 Parent Advisory Liaison (PAL)
Prep – Year 3 parents have been sent introductory emails from their classroom PAL. If you would like to join your class social group, please respond to your PAL’s email with the details you would like to share with the other families in your child’s class.
