Visitor on Campus Procedure
A reminder for all families of the Visitor on Campus Procedure.
Visitor Procedures (8:40 AM - 2:45 PM):
- All visitors, including parents and guardians, MUST sign in at reception during school hours.
- Once signed in, visitors will receive a yellow visitor pass, which must be worn while on campus (staff are required to request to see an individual's visitor pass if it is not visible, as part of their duty of care).
- All visitors are required to sign out and return their visitor pass when leaving campus.
When You Do Not Need to Sign In:
- During school drop-off before 8:45 AM or school pick-up after 2:45 PM.
- When attending a school assembly.
Students Arriving Late:
- If a student arrives after the 08:40 AM bell, they must sign in at reception. A late slip will be printed and the student will need to take this slip to class.
Students Departing Early:
- A student must be signed out before leaving campus.
- A parent (or someone authorised to collect the student) must come into reception, where the student will be called to the office and signed out.
- The parent must sign the slip and print their name. These slips are kept at reception.
- If a student driver needs to leave early, a permission email detailing reasons for leaving must be sent in advance to the office (operations@tmc.qld.edu.au).
Thank you for your cooperation in ensuring the safety and security of our campus.
Blocking of School Hats
A friendly reminder about Hat Blocking.
All students who require to have their hats blocked are to please hand their hat to their Form Teacher by Thursday 3rd of April.
Blocking of hats is $25.00
Each repair is $10.00
Hats with holes will not be repaired.
Reminder: Pick-Up & Drop-Off Zone Safety
To help ensure the safety and efficiency of our school community, we kindly remind all families of the correct procedures when using the designated pick-up and drop-off zones.
Pick-Up Zone in the Afternoon
These bays are strictly for families collecting children who are already waiting in the pick-up area. If your child is not yet there, please circulate or park elsewhere until they are ready to be collected.
2-Minute Efficiency
The pick-up/drop-off zone is designed for a quick exchange only. Please remain in your vehicle and keep the line moving. Enter the zone only if your child/ren are visible and ready to be collected to avoid unnecessary congestion.
Enter/Exit from the Left
For safety reasons, all students must enter and exit the vehicle from the left-hand side only—this ensures they are stepping directly onto the footpath and not into traffic.
Safety First
- No parking or waiting is permitted in the drop-off/pick-up zone.
- Drive slowly (max 10 km/h), stay alert and courteous.
- Students should enter and exit from the left-hand side of the vehicle.
Your cooperation helps keep Tamborine Mountain College safe and efficient for everyone. Thank you for your continued support.

Year 7 Camp
On Monday 3rd March - Wednesday 5th March, our Year 7 students traded their school uniforms for adventure gear as they embarked on their much-anticipated camp. Set against the backdrop of stunning natural scenery, the camp was a whirlwind of excitement, challenges, and personal growth.
From soaring across a large body of water on the flying fox to gliding through the air like true possums on the possum glider, our students faced each activity with a mix of nerves and excitement. The aeroball court was a hub of laughter and friendly competition, while archery saw students channel their inner Robin Hood with impressive aim. Canoeing tested balance and teamwork, with some splashes adding to the fun!
One of the most inspiring aspects of the camp was watching our students support each other. Whether it was a word of encouragement before taking a leap on the flying fox or teamwork to keep a canoe steady, the spirit of camaraderie was evident everywhere. Many students pushed past their fears, showing true grit and determination as they stepped out of their comfort zones and took on new challenges.
Beyond the activities, camp life brought everyone closer together. Shared meals, trivia, dancing at an outdoor disco, and the thrill of experiencing new adventures bonded our students in a way that only an outdoor adventure can.
We are incredibly proud of how well our Year 7s represented our school. Their enthusiasm, resilience, and impeccable behaviour made the experience a memorable one for students and teachers alike.
A huge thank you to the staff and camp organisers for making this adventure possible. Year 7 camp was not just about fun—it was about growth, teamwork, and discovering just how much we can achieve when we believe in ourselves and support each other.
Well done, Year 7!
Year 10's Explore French Culture
Year 10 French have been exploring French culture through music. They've discussed their favourite music styles and researched different French speaking musicians. This week, they had a go at different French Folk dances. Students compared these folk dances with those that we have in Australia such as the Nutbush.

Intermediate Debating Team Victorious
Tamborine Mountain College's Intermediate Debating Team achieved a fantastic win against ABPC3 in Round 1 of the Gold Coast Debating Competition. The topic for the evening was That online learning is as effective as face-to-face, with our team arguing the affirmative.
James opened the case as first speaker, clearly defining key terms and setting solid benchmarks to frame the debate. His confident delivery and use of statistics provided a strong foundation for the team’s case.
Archie, as second speaker, delivered a powerful and engaging speech that captivated the adjudicator from the outset. His rebuttals were sharp, and he skillfully incorporated real-world examples to support the team’s position. His contribution was described as particularly strong and impactful.
Skye concluded as third speaker, confidently addressing the key arguments and reinforcing the team’s case. Her clear understanding of the team’s position and her poised delivery ensured a strong finish to the debate.
Ruby provided excellent support as timekeeper, ensuring the team stayed on track, and Isobel stood ready as reserve, contributing to the team’s preparation and spirit.
We are incredibly proud of the team’s performance, collaboration, and professionalism. Congratulations to James, Archie, Skye, Ruby, and Isobel on a well-deserved victory.
