World Day for Cultural Diversity
TMC is celebrating Cultural Diversity Day next week on 21st May 2024. This is a free dress day where TMC invites all students to celebrate this day by adopting the colours of your country, wearing cultural outfits, customising your clothes with a flag or supporting your favourite sports team by proudly dressing in their jersey for the day. We look forward to celebrating the diverse cultures of our community.

Year 1 Excursion - Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary
Year 1 had a wonderful day exploring habitats of different wildlife. We watched an amazing bird show, eel feeding, patted kangaroos and even saw a real life red panda. Thank you so much for all our volunteers for helping.

The Australian Gold Rush
Our Year 5 students are currently embarking on an educational journey delving into the historical context of Australia's Gold Rush. Through hands-on activities, they engaged with the challenges and opportunities faced by gold prospectors during this transformative period.
During their time on the goldfields, students experienced the realities of gold prospecting, including the risks of encountering bushrangers and navigating licensing regulations. They gained insight into the discrimination faced by Chinese immigrants and explored the economic impact of the Gold Rush on Australian society.This immersive learning experience provided students with a deeper understanding of our nation's history and its enduring implications. By engaging with the past in a tangible way, our students gained valuable insights into the complexities of Australian heritage.
The excitement of the students has been wonderful so far.

Gardening Club
This week, the Lunchtime Gardening Club celebrated a fantastic harvest, gathering 8 vibrant pumpkins from our school garden! These orange beauties are a testament to the hard work and dedication of our green-thumbed students. From planting the seeds in the spring to nurturing the vines over the summer, our young gardeners have truly brought the spirit of autumn to life.

FREE 3 WEEK PROGRAM FOR U8s & U10s
U8s: Kids Born in 2017 and 2018 (6 and 7 year olds)
Wednesdays: May 29th, June 5th, June 12th
Training at TMSS: 4:30pm-5:15pm
U10s: Kids Born in 2015 and 2016 (8 and 9 year olds)
Thursdays: May 30th, June 6th, June 13th
Training at TMSHS: 3:30pm-5pm
We are excited to invite TMC students that are interested in giving basketball a try! Come meet kids and coaches that are passionate about basketball and are looking to form new teams for Term 3 as we head into our next season.

Coomera Football Club - Girls United Come and Try Night
Coomera Football Club is running a FREE Come and Try session for the Girls United Program. We wanted to extend the invitation to local schools and encourage as many females to come along as possible.
The Come and Try session is open to all females from 14 years and up and all skill and fitness levels are welcome.
The FREE event will run this Friday 17th May from 6:30pm at Viney Park – Coomera Football Club.
Girls United Social Football is all about creating fun, social football environments for women and girls to boost their confidence, build fitness and make friends.
A great option for women and girls who haven’t got the time to commit to the traditional training and game format of club football, or for those who want to build their skills and confidence before moving into a club football team.
