Bus Services Information
The school uses 3 bus services:
Logan Coaches (Tamborine/Canungra/Yarrabilba) - 07 5546 3077
Lonestar Coaches (Tamborine Mountain/Eagle Heights) - 07 5545 1298
Tamborine Mountain Coaches (Gold Coast Areas) - 07 5545 3644 (option 2) or busservices@tmc.qld.edu.au
Lonestar is currently rolling out a new bus fare software "Transport Me". If your student/s travel on this service and has not received a "smartcard" for travel, please contact them on 5545 1298 or email inekah@belbaker.com.au
If you have received a "smartcard", please be aware that the new passes can not have a hole punched in them, it breaks the electronic activation strip that goes around the entire perimeter of the card. There are clear plastic holders that can be purchased from office works and other stationary outlets which can then be attached to students' bags. An example is attached below
Tamborine Mountain Coaches
Bus 6 is occasionally fully booked. If you can not add a booking to RollCall for this service, please email busservices@tmc.qld.edu.au
Please remember to remove your student/s from a bus run via the RollCall app if they are not travelling on the service. This will then allow for other students to book onto the run.

Excitement Builds for This Year’s Secondary Cross Country
Next Friday 21 February, we’ll host our Annual Secondary Cross Country Carnival at Long Road Sports Complex. Students should attend school as usual, and we’ll take the bus to and from the venue.
House captains encourage everyone to wear house colours—prizes will be awarded for the best dressed from each house. All participants on the day will also receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win a lolly jar, with the draw taking place at the end of the day.
Families will receive an email with further details including distances for each age group, schedule of the day, and what to bring.

Year 2 Students Welcome Special Visitors!
As part of our HASS unit on significant people and places, our Year 2 students had the privilege of welcoming two very important guests into our classroom—our principal, Mrs. Stevens, and Head of Primary, Mr. Stevens!
During the visit, the students skilfully posed open-ended questions, allowing them to gain a deeper understanding of the roles and responsibilities of both Mrs. and Mr. Stevens within our school and local community. Through thoughtful discussion, the students not only learned about leadership in a school setting but also got to know our wonderful principal and deputy principal a little better.
We would like to extend a huge thank you to Mrs. and Mr. Stevens for taking the time to share their experiences and insights with us. A special congratulations also goes to our Year 2 students, who demonstrated fantastic speaking and listening skills throughout the visit. Their curiosity, confidence, and engagement made this a truly meaningful and enjoyable learning experience!

What’s Happening in the Music Room with Mrs Ivers
Prep - Singing Voices
Our youngest muso’s are practicing singing a variety of songs to support their understanding of various musical elements. This week we focused on singing our own name using ‘Mrs Bumblebee’. She helps build confidence in our own singing voices whilst also bouncing on our laps to keep a steady beat.
Year 2 - Creating rhythm patterns with paddle pop sticks
This week we worked out which rhythms matched the words in the song “Dinah”. The students needed to know how to sing the song first, clap the rhythms that matched the words and then make them out of paddle pop sticks in the correct order.
Year 5 - Ukuleles
This week the Year 5’s were introduced to the Ukulele. A fantastic tool for learning to play in groups, work on fine motor skills, understanding chord structures and is a lot of fun!

In the overall results, TMC proudly finished in second place, just behind the highly competitive HILLS Christian College. Well done to all of our swimmers for their outstanding performances!
