Introduction
Tamborine Mountain College is located in the Scenic Rim and has a temperate climate. It is unlike other schools because it has a lush, green rainforest encircling it, as well as modern, spacious classrooms for its 550 students. Our picturesque school is also surrounded by native flora and fauna, including echidnas, kookaburras and gum trees. We also have a college cat named CC.
TMC’s Geographic Location
TMC is located at 80 Beacon Road, Tamborine Mountain. Our school is part of the Scenic Rim, which is in South-East Queensland, Australia. It is surrounded by lush, green rainforest and is 45 minutes from the Gold Coast. Because Tamborine Mountain is located between the Tropic of Capricorn and the Antarctic Circle, it is part of the Temperate climate zone.
The Climate of TMC
The climate zone of TMC is Temperate. Summers at TMC are hot and humid, with temperatures reaching up to 35 degrees Celsius. Winters are usually cool and dry, with temperatures between 3 and 25 degrees Celsius. Due to the Temperate climate, we have a myriad of flora and fauna.
TMC’s Flora and Fauna
TMC has a copious amount of native flora and fauna. An abundance of plants, including ferns and gum trees encircle our school. There is also a plethora of unique, Australian animals, including kookaburras, echidnas and kangaroos. Due to the vast range of natural features at our school, we have many distinctive plants and animals.
Natural Features of TMC
The natural features that surround TMC make it unlike most urban schools. We have a vast rainforest encircling our school, full of healthy, native gum trees. There are also abundant green spaces and a healthy vegetable patch where students can go to relax. Due to the vast green areas, TMC has plenty of space for modern, built features.
TMC’s Built Features
Tamborine Mountain College has a considerable amount of modern built features, unlike most other schools. The Early Learning Centre gives children from three to five years a head-start on their schooling journey. There is a plethora of architecturally designed classrooms, catering for students from Prep to Year 12. Due to the ample built features at our college, there is now a waiting list for students to join us.

Tamborine Mountain College has an abundance of native flora and fauna, including echidnas, kookaburras and a vast rainforest of gum trees. It is located in the Scenic Rim, in Queensland. We are surrounded by vast green spaces and have a generous number of classrooms, including the Early Learning Centre.
