Over the past 3 terms, the TMC Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) team, composed of staff members from across the college, have been working to develop the College's approach to identifying, addressing and supporting the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students at TMC. A part of this is embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander cultures, knowledge and outlooks across the TMC campus. 

A key aspect of achieving the RAP team's goals is the identification of students that identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.  As such, the RAP team requests that parents of students who identify as ATSI complete the brief survey below.

The Oz Harvest collections have started!  Prep Val is racing to 100 items in their classroom and the students are so excited to add to the tally each day.  

Thank you Ms Ryall and Prep Val for your amazing start to the food drive.

Students can bring items to their classroom or form teacher between now and the 15th of November to contribute to the donations.

Year 3 is studying Poetry this term. We will be looking at different styles and many poetic devices. We started this week with Acrostic poems and here is what the students wrote:

Last term Alliance Française held their Concours de Poésie, where the candidates videoed themselves reciting a poem in French. The  Alliance Française  received 130 entries from 10 different schools, and reported that selecting the best was a difficult task.  They chose 5 candidates per age range, differentiating francophone and non francophone participants.  

Congratulations and "bonne chance", to Otis V and Vivienne H who have progressed to the live Finals.  A special mention also to Isla S, Harry G and Evelyn H who also made a fine effort with their entries.

Mme Michelle Dowd

The Interschool Equestrian National Championship held in Tamworth, NSW, during the September holidays was a remarkable showcase for our team. Competing against riders from all states across Australia. 

TMC team consisting of Ashlee L (Year 11) and Mia J (Year 9), demonstrated outstanding skill and sportsmanship. 

Ashlee, performing successfully, competing over three days and receiving 3rd place in the 2* eventing as-well as being apart of Queensland’s overall highest achieving eventers.  

Mia competed in the intermediate showjumping 90cm over three days as-well, having two great rounds during the first half of the event, but unfortunately falling sick and unable to compete during the last day. 

Huge congratulations to the girls and a special thanks to our coaches, parents, and supporters for making this experience unforgettable.

And another thank you to TMC for allowing us to achieve these results through Wednesday trainings and constant support by all the staff.
