Welcome to 2015, Tamborine Mountain College (TMC) P – 12

First Day for the foundation of TMC Primary was fabulous.  Parents and children meet teachers and all were surprised and delighted by the helicopter arrival bringing mascot VIC to join VAL at the celebration.  Students received Foundation prisms to honour the event and the very first enrolled primary student Georgia Lorange was congratulated.

Despite the building project on the Primary campus being delayed, all ran smoothly and from all reports our Primary students are enjoying life at TMC.

Year 7 had a big first day too!  This marked the first time of inclusion into secondary education.  Each student received a special certificate from the Premier of QLD, commemorating this event.  Of Course Year 8 were all new too and there were many new students across all year levels.  We are pleased to advise that all have settled in, including some new staff members too!

Thursday 5th February  6pm-7pm

If you would like the opportunity of meeting teachers next week, both Primary and Secondary teachers will be available.

TMC WEBSITE

The TMC Website is a wealth of information!  Be sure to explore its contents.  All BUS information is available here.

LATE ARRIVAL AND EARLY DEPARTURE

All students who arrive late and miss Form in the morning must come to the Office first and be signed in to school.  If you drop your Primary child off late, please come straight to the Office to sign him/her in before taking the student/s to class.  All Secondary students to come straight to the office and not direct to class.

When a student leaves school early, (with parental permission), please ensure that the student comes to the Office to sign out early or they will be marked absent at Form in the afternoon.  We then presume that they are “missing” which means a thorough search of the school.  You can understand that this is very disruptive.

PRIMARY PARENTS AFTERNOON PICKUP

Please wait for your child/children on the front lawn area next to the drop-off area on driveway.  Your children will brought to this area by their classroom teacher at 3pm.  Please do not go to Classrooms for pick-up, except for Preps.
