On Monday and Tuesday of the last week of Term 1 TMC French hosted a “Petit Repas Matinal Français” (French Morning Tea) for all the primary school.
Prep through to Year 3 enjoyed a brilliant French Food Fest on Monday with many parents coming along to support their children and of course to sample some yummy French food.
Years 4, 5 and 6 topped off the event on Tuesday with an equally successful and delicious morning tea.
Congratulations and many a “Merci” to all the families who contributed such delicious food and for going to great lengths to reproduce the culinary delights of France.
The Tarte Tatin (Upside Down Apple Cake) and the Crème Brulée (Caramelised Custard) were the most authentic offerings from two of our families of French origin.
Most importantly the students demonstrated their best TMC behaviour and good French manners welcoming our two special French native guests Mesdames Jackie French et Sandrine Marsh, who made the event even more successful by sharing their language and culture with the students and parents. Merci beaucoup Jackie and Sandrine.
The next French event at TMC will be the second Groupe Français gathering at the Hilltop Gallery on Wednesday 20th May for an authentic French Dinner, French varieties of Witches Falls wines, good Francophile company and sharing our love of all things French. All are welcome and you don’t need to speak French to participate.
