The School Cup of the 48km Kokoda Challenge sees teams of 5 (4 students and 1 teacher) starting at Numinbah Valley Hall (Nerang-Murwillumbah Road, Numinbah Valley) at 11am on Saturday 15 July.
Teams make their way through 7 checkpoints (2 of which are accessible by your Support Crew) over 33 hours to reach the finish at Nerang Velodrome. The first full team of 5 that can reach the end of their journey will be awarded the Jim Stillman Cup.
Training for this event will occur between now and July, with weekend treks through the Gold Coast hinterland essential. The first trial/training session will occur on Sunday 26th February 8:00am at the Springbrook Warrie Canyon Circuit (17km).
Tamborine Mountain College will be fundraising throughout the first half of the year for the Kokoda Youth Foundation. Parent support will be called on to provide support, food and drinks to our hikers on the day. Stay tuned for more information
