Last week we took the students to the Lookout (where they hang glide up near Lahey Rd) then to Eagle Heights hotel for the beautiful view of Surfers. That day they also spent an hour shopping and sightseeing down Gallery Walk.
Yesterday we took them to Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. The students saw koalas, crocodiles, fed the kangaroos, reptiles and native birds. At the end of the day we were treated to a talk from an Indigenous woman about animals and their meaning. The students even got to pat a baby croc, echidna and snake !!! During the talk we learnt the meaning of the Australian, Aboriginal and Torres Straight Island flags
