After a year plagued with injuries and broken bones, Hannah Dalton stayed positive and didn’t let her injuries defeat her or her love of gymnastics. It was touch and go, with many set backs along the way, but Hannah managed to be selected to compete at the Queensland State Clubs Gymnastics Championships, which were held at the Caloundra Indoor Stadium from 24th – 29th June.
With over 40 clubs competing and over 1000 competitors, Hannah had an amazing competition and all of her determination paid off. She scored high marks on all 4 apparatus achieving a PB. Hannah trains 12 hours a week in a selective squad program at Delta Gymnastics which is one of the leading clubs in Australia. In her division of 205 gymnasts, Hannah placed 16th overall in Qld and her club placed 5th out of 40.
This resulted in Hannah easily qualifying for the Qld individual State Championships which will be held at Chandler in September. Hannah will compete in 2 more competitions before State which will include the Regional Championships at the end of August.
