On 11th May, the Year 12 Geographers had an excursion to the ancient subtropical ‘Gondwana’ rainforest at Binna Burra in Lamington National Park. Not only is the rainforest at Lamington National Park millions of years old, it is also UNESCO World Heritage Site and is therefore the ideal environment for data collection for the Year 12 report on Sustaining Biodiversity. Students and teachers had an amazing day with particular highlights including a rainforest walk, stunning views overlooking a luscious green valley of prehistoric rainforest, and large hot chocolates in the Rainforest Cafe.
