Term 3 Week 1.

First day back is Monday 20th July – see you all then.

This term we have a new entrance located on the Primary Campus and the exit will remain as now – it will be a one way internal road with a drop off zone and parking bays for Primary and Secondary. All students dropped off in this car park will enter grounds via the gate at Drop-off area. Primary walk down to their rooms, and Yr 5 & Yr 6 continue on to the walkway over to the secondary campus and follow pathways to MKLC. Secondary students walk through pathway at Rm 5 & 6 near Music Room.

Our current entrance will not be open next term for the public and will allow for more room in the bus bay. We are planning an upgrade of the whole bus bay area over the Xmas holidays.

Before and After- school Care Club will be in the Cubby House on the Primary Campus.

Japanese Visitors arrive on Saturday 18th July and those Host Families are required for collection at 2pm in the Hub. A big thank you to those families who have generously volunteered to host the Japanese and share in this unique and rewarding experience. Our visitors are with us until Wednesday 29th July and we are very fortunate to involve the whole College in this cultural exchange.

20Yr Anniversary Celebration is Saturday 25th July which will also include the official opening of the Primary. All SRC are required in full uniform. Other student helpers for teachers are required in Sports Uniform. All parents and students are invited and we request attendance at the official ceremony at 1pm. It will be a great day with lots of food, fun and entertainment. Bring friends and family and enjoy. Those with our Japanese visitors are expected at this event as I have informed their school of this special celebration. All past students are invited and there is a special Alumni Reunion at 1.30pm.

Primary Campus 2016: TMC Board has approved next stage of development for Primary being Prep and Yr 1 buildings which are positioned in front of the existing building and adds another 4 classrooms to that campus – due for completion semester 2 2016.

Yr 10 Work Experience is currently under review to maximise benefits for our students – it will still be in the last week of Term 3 but will undergo some changes. The Work Studies teachers are initiating career research and student preparation for this week – some will go out to seek school-based traineeships and apprenticeships, others will focus on university opportunities during that week and others will look at experiencing the work force environment. Students will be actively involved in seeking out placements for this week – building skills and taking ownership and responsibility.  For information regarding work experience, please click the following link.

Have a safe and enjoyable weekend.
