Last Friday our Year 6 students ventured off to Jacobs Well Environmental Education Centre as part of their science unit, ‘Life on Earth’. The students were involved in many exciting hands-on activities, focusing on marine investigation. One of the highlight activities was participating in trawling aboard the EduCat, where they explored biodiversity, classified organisms and measured environmental factors. They also examined a mangrove ecosystem, using dichotomous keys to classify plant species and analyse the positive and negative impact humans have on this environment. It was a truly enriching day for our Year 6 students.
